Mathews has done it again! New for 2008:

The Mathews DXT- I shot this bow when it was introduced and I have to tell you with just a rest and nothing else on the bow. There was no recoil or vibration in the bow! This is a great bow for hunting in a blind or in tight areas in a tree stand! -Outdoors Dan...

Mathews, the #1 bow company in the world, introduces the new-for-2008 DXT, its latest SlimLimb bow. The DXT gives you the perfect balance of excessive power and exceptional accuracy. What is different about the new DXT?

It's shorter - At just 29 3/4' axle-to-axle, the DXT is terrific in tight quarters.
It's lighter - At just 3.75lbs, the DXT will be a welcome companion on the trek up the mountain or across the cornfield.
It's faster - At 322 fps, the DXT gives you the perfect balance of excessive power and exceptional accuracy.

'Thin is in' and the DXT's SlimLimbs give the bow a streamlined appearance and result in less, unnecessary weight. SlimLimbs are also tough. The DXT's SlimLimbs are constructed of next generation SE4 composite and last typically twice as long as traditional, lifetime-guaranteed limbs.

The DXT will feature Mathews' new Lost Camo. The exclusive new camouflage pattern designed specifically with bowhunters in mind.

MSRP $859.00

DXT features include a long list of Mathews' relentless innovations such as a perimeter-weighted cam, parallel limb design, Harmonic Dampers, String Suppressors, a roller guard and the SphereLock Pivoting Limb Cup system.

The DRENALIN is still on of my Favortes! I will still be shooting mine this year in 2008! Here are some stats on the bow!

Drenalin- the new "SlimLimb" bow from Mathews! DRENALIN's next-generation SE3 composite "SlimLimbs" are thinner, lighter and tougher.

Thinner - The SE3 Composite Limbs on the Drenalin measure just 1 1/8" wide.
Tougher - The SE3 Composite Limbs are tough. In fact, cycling tests prove SlimLimbs last over twice as long as typical lifetime-guaranteed limbs.
Lighter - The Drenalin weights in at 3.85 lbs.
Faster - 320 fps IBO
Quieter - The Drenalin features Harmonic Dampers, Roller Guard, Perimeter-weighted cam, string suppressors and parallel-limbs to help reduce vibration and noise.
COOLER - The Drenalin feature Realtree All Purpose Repeat camo.

Kershaw Awarded Blade Show Top Honors

TUALATIN, OR—Kershaw Knives came away from the prestigious Blade Show with three of the Show’s top honors: The Blade Magazine’s 2007 Overall Knife of the Year, the 2007 Most Innovative American Design, and the 2007 Kitchen Knife of the Year.

These awards represent the very pinnacle of knife industry awards. The winners were selected by an overwhelming vote of trade-industry members, including leading companies such as Benchmade, Buck, and Gerber. The winners are chosen on a range of criteria—from design, innovation, and function to craftsmanship and quality. Here’s a brief rundown of Kershaw’s winning entries:

The Overall Knife of the Year was Kershaw’s Tyrade (Model 1850). The big news is the Tyrade’s patent-pending composite blade in which two steels are fused together for optimal performance and value. It features a durable spine of 154CM, plus a cutting edge of CPM-D2 for extreme sharpness. In the future, Kershaw will use the technology developed for the Tyrade to fuse other steels together so that every knife can have the very best steel on the cutting edge with a standard steel spine in order to keep the costs down. For a dramatic look, the Tyrade features irregular carbon fiber inlays in the big and beefy handle. The handles are built of titanium with a zirconium carbo-nitride coating for top performance. The Tyrade comes with a removable pocket clip. It is made in the USA and retails for $350.

2007’s Most Innovative American Design is Kershaw’s R.A.M. (Model 1910). The new R.A.M. offers a choice of smooth and easy, one-handed opening systems. The knife user can open the R.A.M. with an ambidextrous “flipper” system or the built-in thumb knobs. The flipper system incorporates resistance to hold the blade securely in the closed position until deployed by pulling on the extended tang at the front of the spine. The award-winning knife also features the patent-pending Hawk Lock that is both secure and easy to operate. The knife offers Sandvik 13C26 stainless steel blades and an anodized aluminum handle with G-10 overlays for a secure grip. The R.A.M. is made in the USA and retails for $89.95

Last, but not least, Kershaw’s Shun Kaji Knife Set (Model 9538885) took 2007 Kitchen Knife of the Year. The 8-piece set, exclusively designed for Williams-Sonoma, is a combination of Damascus and “clad,” or “jacketed,” construction—the perfect blend of ultimate technology and hand craftsmanship. The knives feature an amazingly sharp cutting core of SG-2 steel, Damascus patterned cladding of two different steels for strength and resilience, and handles that are not only beautiful, but ambidextrous and comfortable to use no matter the user’s hand size. With its angled end-cap embossed with the Shun logo, the Shun Kaji set looks stunning even at rest in its cherry wood block.  These truly look and feel like the heirloom knives they are. The Shun Kaji Set retails for $1,800.

All Kershaw and KAI USA knives are built to maintain the company’s worldwide reputation for quality and innovation. The Kershaw/KAI USA prides itself on using the highest quality materials and state-of-the-art techniques to produce knives and other cutting tools that are prized throughout the world.
