Dan Young grew up in Washington MO. He always enjoyed the outdoors and radio

He has been working in radio since 1997, where he started at KLPW in Washington MO. Dan moved up to Iowa from St. Louis in 2002.

Dan can be heard on KRNT 1350AM every Wednesday in afternoon drive from 5:00 to 7:00pm or Sunday Nights 5:00 to 7:00pm. On Praise 940 am every Thusday at 5:00pm from Des Moines Iowa.

Dan is the host of the " Outdoors Dan Show" Sunday nights 6:00 to 8:00pm. On KTRS-550 AM "The sports Voice of St. Louis", that hits all over the Midwest, and is the voice of the St Louis Cardinals Baseball team! !

You can see Dan on KCCI Channel 8 News the #1 rated news in the state of Iowa, every Sunday morning around 7:35am for an Outdoors Dan Report.

Starting in July 2008 Dan's TV show "Outdoors Traditions TV" seen weekly on FOX-17, and on Fox Sports Network across the country runs through December!

Dan's main mission is to reach out to kids and get them involved in the outdoors as much as possible. He is working with the Izzac Walton leauge of Des Moines with an annual fishing day that draws over 8 thousand families a year. He knows that the kids are the key to keep the outdoors growing!

He is on several prostaffs including Mathews Archery, Hunter Specialties Field Staff, Muzzy Broadheads, Nikon Sport Optics,Rivers Edge Tree Stands, Hunter Safety Systems, Easy-Crest Arrow Wraps. Recently served on the board of directors of the Iowa Bowhunters Association in the fall of 2003 till the fall of 2005.

Outdoors with Outdoors Dan is Award winning radio! Outdoors Dan was named the 2003 Outdoor Communicater of the year by General Sports Shows and the Des Moines Izaac Walton League!

Outdoors Dan was also honered with the 2004 Tall Man award by Muzzy Broad heads!

Dan received this award at the 2004 Archery Trade Association in Indianapolis Indiana. Other winners for this award are Matt McPherson of Mathews Archery, and Native American Writer Judy Kovar.

Dan received the Riess Tuttle Award for Conservation Communications from the State Izzac Walton League June 2004. This is the 2nd year in a row, he won Broadcaster of the year for his show!
